2 lbs (1 kg) minced cod
4 oz (100 g) Chinese cabbage
1 bunch dill
2 slices white bread (crumb)
2 oz (50 g) butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon black pepper
1-Shred the cabbage, onion, dill and parsley.
2-Finely grate the carrot.
3-Soak the bread in a cup water.
4-In a large bowl mix the minced cod, shredded vegetables and greens, soaked breadcrumb and egg.
5-Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and beat the mince against the bowl walls to make it smooth.
6-Form cutlets about 10 cm long.
7-Pour the flour on the table or cutting board.
8-Roll the fish cutlets in the flour.
9-Place them onto greasy roasting tin.
10-Send to the preheated oven to cook at 390ºF (200 ºC) for 15 min.
11-Melt the butter in a small pot.
12-In 15 min remove the cutlets from the oven.
13-Smear them with the butter over the tops.
14-Put them back to the oven to cook for 15 min more.
